Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of the SEO RITE platform, website, API, and all related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by SEO RITE Inc. ("SEO RITE," "we," "us," or "our"). This AUP applies to all users of the Services, including account holders, workspace members, API consumers, and any person or entity accessing the Services through a customer's account.

This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of the SEO RITE Terms of Service. By using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your access to the Services.

2. Permitted Use

The Services are designed for legitimate search engine optimization, content intelligence, technical SEO auditing, rank tracking, competitor analysis, and related digital marketing activities. You may use the Services to:

• Crawl and audit websites that you own or have explicit authorization to analyze
• Track keyword rankings, monitor search visibility, and analyze SERP features for your own domains or those of authorized clients
• Generate AI-assisted recommendations, content briefs, and optimization suggestions within the scope of your subscription plan
• Access the API within your plan's rate limits and quotas for integration with your own systems and workflows
• Create reports, dashboards, and exports for internal use or for authorized clients under white-label arrangements
• Connect third-party integrations (such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or CMS platforms) for which you have proper authorization

3. Prohibited Activities

You shall not use the Services to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

Unauthorized access and hacking. Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other users' accounts, or SEO RITE's internal systems. This includes probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Services or any network connected to the Services, or breaching any security or authentication measures without proper authorization.

Scraping and data abuse. Using the Services to systematically extract, harvest, or scrape data for purposes unrelated to your legitimate SEO activities. This includes using automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Services in a manner that exceeds normal usage patterns or that is designed to extract data for resale, redistribution, or competitive intelligence against SEO RITE.

Spam and unsolicited communications. Using the Services to generate, facilitate, or distribute unsolicited bulk email, spam, or any other form of unsolicited communication. This includes using SEO RITE's AI content generation features to produce spam content or content intended solely for search engine manipulation without genuine user value.

Harassment and abuse. Using the Services to harass, threaten, stalk, defame, or intimidate any individual or entity. This includes using competitor tracking features to facilitate harassment or making false reports about other users.

Illegal content and activities. Using the Services in connection with any activity that violates applicable laws, regulations, or industry standards. This includes using the platform to optimize, promote, or distribute content related to illegal goods or services, fraud, phishing, malware distribution, or any other unlawful activity.

Intellectual property infringement. Using the Services to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party, including using AI-generated content features to reproduce copyrighted material, trademarks, or other protected works without authorization.

Circumventing security and controls. Attempting to bypass, disable, or interfere with any security features, rate limits, usage quotas, or access controls built into the Services. This includes using multiple accounts to circumvent plan limitations, sharing API keys with unauthorized parties, or reverse-engineering the Services.

Unauthorized reselling. Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing access to the Services or any data obtained through the Services without prior written authorization from SEO RITE. White-label features may only be used in accordance with the terms of your subscription plan and applicable white-label agreement.

4. Crawling and Rate Limits

SEO RITE's crawling infrastructure is designed to be respectful of target websites and compliant with standard web conventions. When using the Services to crawl websites, you must adhere to the following requirements:

• You may only crawl websites that you own or for which you have explicit written authorization from the website owner
• You must respect robots.txt directives and crawl-delay instructions unless you have specific authorization from the site owner to override them
• Crawl frequency and concurrency are subject to the limits of your subscription plan and SEO RITE's platform-wide rate controls
• You must not use the Services to perform denial-of-service attacks or to overwhelm target websites with excessive requests
• If a target website owner requests that crawling be stopped, you must promptly disable crawling for that domain

SEO RITE reserves the right to throttle, pause, or terminate crawling activity that we determine, in our reasonable judgment, poses a risk to the stability of the Services, violates the rights of third parties, or is inconsistent with responsible crawling practices.

5. API Usage Guidelines

Access to the SEO RITE API is governed by the following guidelines:

• API keys are issued per workspace and must be kept confidential. You are responsible for all activity conducted using your API keys.
• API requests are subject to rate limits and quotas as defined by your subscription plan. Current rate limits are documented in the API documentation.
• You must implement reasonable error handling and respect HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) responses by implementing exponential backoff.
• Bulk data extraction via the API must be performed within the scope of your plan's quotas and must not be used to replicate or compete with the Services.
• You must not share API keys across organizations, embed them in client-side code, or expose them in public repositories.
• SEO RITE reserves the right to revoke API keys that are used in violation of this AUP or that pose a security risk to the platform.

6. Account Security Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. To protect your account and the Services:

• Use strong, unique passwords for your SEO RITE account and enable multi-factor authentication when available
• Do not share your login credentials with unauthorized individuals. Use the team management features to grant access to team members with appropriate roles and permissions.
• Promptly revoke access for team members who are no longer authorized to use the Services
• Notify SEO RITE immediately at security@seorite.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or any security breach
• Keep all integration credentials (OAuth tokens, API keys, CMS connection details) secure and rotate them periodically
• Review account activity logs regularly to detect any unusual or unauthorized behavior

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, or if you believe that a user of the Services is engaging in prohibited activities, please report it to us immediately at abuse@seorite.com. When reporting a violation, please provide:

• A description of the violation and the specific provision of this AUP that you believe has been violated
• Any evidence supporting your report, such as screenshots, URLs, timestamps, or log excerpts
• Your contact information for follow-up communications

We take all reports seriously and will investigate each report in a timely manner. We may, at our discretion, keep the identity of the reporter confidential. Retaliatory actions against individuals who report violations in good faith are strictly prohibited.

8. Enforcement Actions

SEO RITE reserves the right to take enforcement action against any user who violates this AUP. Enforcement actions are applied at our sole discretion and may include, depending on the severity and nature of the violation:

Warning. For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a written warning to the account holder, identifying the violation and requesting immediate corrective action. The warning will specify the steps required to bring the account into compliance and may include a deadline for remediation.

Suspension. For repeated violations, serious violations, or failure to remediate after a warning, we may suspend the account or specific features of the Services. During suspension, access to the platform, API, and all associated data may be restricted. We will notify the account holder of the suspension and the reason for it. Suspension may be temporary, pending investigation and resolution, or may remain in effect until the violation is remediated to our satisfaction.

Termination. For egregious violations, violations that pose a significant risk to the platform or other users, or continued violations after suspension, we may permanently terminate the account. Upon termination, access to the Services will be immediately revoked. The customer will have 30 days to request an export of their data, after which all data associated with the terminated account will be permanently deleted in accordance with our data retention policies.

In all cases, SEO RITE will endeavor to provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to respond before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Services, other users, or third parties from harm. Violations that constitute illegal activity may be reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.

9. Modifications to This Policy

SEO RITE reserves the right to modify this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated to account holders via email and through a prominent notice within the Services at least 30 days before they take effect. Non-material changes, such as clarifications or corrections, may take effect immediately upon posting.

Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated AUP. If you do not agree with a modification, you may discontinue your use of the Services before the changes take effect. We encourage you to review this AUP periodically.
